In 1910, D.D. Palmer, the Founder of Chiropractic, stated that there were three underlying causes of subluxation, or nerve interference. He identified them as the 3 T’s: Thoughts, Trauma and Toxins. Today, these 3 T’s continue to wreak havoc on our bodies and contribute to many of the aches, pains and dysfunctions that we experience.

Thoughts: In our culture, we are constantly in a “fight or flight” sympathetic state. Be sure to utilize stress management: Epsom salt baths, prayer, social media breaks, adequate sleep, Acupuncture, time in nature and grounding. These will enhance your parasympathetic state, which is needed for a balanced nervous system (it decreases cortisol, our stress hormone).
Trauma: Pay attention to posture, micro traumas, and overuse of certain muscle groups. (please stretch and/or foam roll regularly!)
Toxins: Pay attention to what you are putting into your body, what you are eating, breathing and drinking; and what you are putting on your body. Regular detox is important! Sweat through exercise and infrared sauna use; proper hydration is also key in detoxing!
